	Afternoon. Only just managed to get my act together to compile my photos of the weekend. I am in no way a pro photographer, in fact, my DSLR is just an expensive point and shoot I can take the lense off. Anyway, less of me, more of the weekend. We arrived a little too late on friday, and just as the last peg went into the tent, the final car went past the checkered flag for qualifying so friday night was just a bit of drink and a small section of track walking. as you can see, camera phone combined with a few too many belgian beers result in a curse word photo from the top of eau rouge. After a lovely dry sleep we woke to the sound of engines! We quickly scoffed our pain au chocolats and headed to the track. Just in time to catch some CAN-AM racers haring up the infamous cliff face. This little red AC in the big boys CANAM race on full compression kept on catching his tyres on the inner arch, creating these fantastic smoke trails up the hill. when suddenly the smoke stopped. Ah, that'll be the tyre poking out the top of the wheel arch, more cars... ^^that sounded incredible! piercing. Then was time for 50's Grand prix which finished like... then a nice leisurely walk through the paddocks and pits. Motorsport is dangerous. Part deux will come later on and will commence with Historic Formula 1. Lovely

	So here we go. Part 2. We'll start with the view from everybody's favourite grandstand again. As you can see the weather was picking up. The sound as they opened up out of bus stop corner. with the highly strung V8's echoing round the grandstand etc. makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck just thinking back. Then again, just as a reminder. These things happen. Just to lighten the mood after that image, how this design got all the way through to print is anyone's guess. Then on the way back to see the start of the 6HR endurance we happened across this little rarity. Imaculate as well. Then to the start of the main event. Over 100 cars on the beautifully clear, sunny starting grid. Which quickly descended to torrential rain. Even my beer found it too exciting. then for a nice wander round the track while there was a break in the weather. ^^this little guy was a fighter, 1200 spitfire up against the big brutes like the GT40s. They got lapped by the 2nd lap but just kept on plodding along. Once the saftey car come out and picks up the pack you get to see the sheer amount of cars taking part in this race. Poor E Type had taken a hit the corner or 2 before, As the light started to dim the photos became harder and harder to take. And then, all of a sudden, everything turns to glare and light trails. everybody loves light trails right? And then the heavens opened, refused to stop raining for around 16 hours. The lightning gave us a lovely 4 hour lightshow which, judging by the headlights of some of the cars, were needed to guide alot of them round. I decided my expensive point and shoot should stay in the car, and the rest as the say, is history. We woke to eau rouge in our tent which explains the rubbish sleep all night. I took 2 photos to try and show the morning weather. Keeping spirits high, This was how deep it was throughout our camp. Has the weather put me off? - No! Will I be going again? - For definate! It really is not one to miss, and at €25 for the whole weekend, you'd be silly not to.
