Ok been a bit lazy not getting this up sooner but my other ride is a MK1 Clio oasis. Again this was 5 minutes from my home (i'm good at buying cars within walking distance). This was purchased last November to replace my diesel Citreon ZX which decided to eat its own fuel pump. Bought it from a young lad who had it as his first car (hence the letterbox exhaust)
As it was when it was purchased.
Those wheel trims were the first thing to remove as they are not only offensive to my eyes they are offensive to the whole car community.
so they wheels were satin blacked as were they bumpers.
The other bug bear was the lack of a temp gauge so an RSI clock set was sourced along with a wheel.
before.
good thing with Renault is they have all the wiring there and its a straight plug in fit. Only takes 10 minutes to swap.
New clocks in.
and with the steering wheel.
Then a set of cheap RSI alloys came up shod in Hankook rubber.
the difference between the steelies and the alloys..
Alloys fitted..
Nice improvement and only 60 quid.
Then someone sent me a link to these and i just had to have a set..
I normally do the german look ones if i have a merc or bmw so it made sense to me to have French.
I know the exhaust is still there. It does nothing for performance just makes noise but if i don't drive it for a bit and then get in it, it is like being 17 again lol.
Plans for this??...
Well its a base model so no power steering, manual windows/sunroof, no abs etc. So that makes it light as hell and i think its crying out for a 172 engine swap. So i have been sourcing parts for the conversion, Its still being used as is for now as a spare car so it will be converted in the new year as i still need to source more parts.
