When I did my work experience at school it was with a local mechanics. They had just had a rolling road fitted and one if the lads had one of these, gave it some rites stick. Thought back then they were pretty coolish

ironically the hatch was designed primarily for the European market but didn't sell in large numbers in Europe. Most of the hatches ended up being sold in Australia and New Zealand.
In Japan the hatch was badged as the Eterna and just like the VR-4 variant of the Galant sedan, there was also a ZR-4 turbocharged 4WD/4WS variant of the Eterna. From mid 1990 onwards the ZR-4 received the same Evolution spec as the VR-4 and gained a bump in power to 240hp along with extra vents on the bonnet and bumper.

Yes, I like it...and judging by the hole in the front spoiler, he got it that low without air.

Chris says don't refer to yourself in thir... oh. Anyway, yes. The Galant is lovely. There's a lot to be said for a simple, dished set of five-spokes combined with a hefty slam. And I'm with you Robin - I had no idea they made a hatch in this shape. Chris

Yes. Big fan of this; these and the contemporary and similarly-styled Toyota Carina II have lots of potential once you look past the reputation for being ultra-bland or a minicab. The styling is really smooth and those back lights are just brilliant, absolutely of their time.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Rich606 definitely the Carina II has bucket loads of potential, love the rear end with the moulded in spoiler. Would love to see a properly done one of those!
