Well the time has come to sell my Prelude.
Circumstances have changed recently and i no longer have the room to keep 3 cars so something has to go, and this is it.
The Prelude is a 2.0 Twin Carb manual, with auto choke and 2 wheel steering. No complicated 4ws here. It is in remarkable condition for its age, having under gone some renovation to the bodywork a few years ago, backed up with reciepts.
I have alot of history with this car, dating back to 1996. One of the previous owners liked to file everything they spent on servicing and repairs. Cam belt was changed in 2006 with 77k miles, at a Honda main dealer! All main Honda dealer servicing until 2013.
No expense was spared to keep this Honda in top condition, even replacement exhaust and tyres were Honda dealer fitted!
Everything on this car works, elecric windows, electric ariel, although the ariel does make a bit of a racket at the top and bottom of its movement, it never fails to go up or down. Headlamps move swiftly and together every time.
The only faults i feel i should mention is a noisy clicking driveshaft when on full lock on the drivers side. And the drivers seat has a very small area of stitching coming away in the bolster.
I had new calipers pads and discs fitted on the back for the MOT in may this year. And i had a tire fitted late last year as the tread was getting low. New wiper blades for the MOT. There are a couple of scuff marks on the bumpers but certainly nothing major.
I have never checked the MPG but its not going to be great, maybe mid to high twenties, low thirties on a constant speed journey. Its a twin carb 2 litre remember, but it does pull well especially mid rpm range.
Body condition is good. There is a door ding on the passenger side rear quarter, just a small pin dent but worth noting. Also in a couple of areas the paint has dulled from bird droppings being left on to long, i will have a go at polishing it out but again i want to be honest.
There are no oil leaks and no blue smoke from the exhaust.
This car drives really well, and i would keep it if i had the room.
If you need further pictures of specific areas on the car please ask, and feel free to come and look at the car, i think anyone that wants a quirky 90s Honda will be suprised how good these drive.
