I have been tasked with helping to sell off a colleagues relatives estate to fund his time in a retirement home. We have been pulling items out of the garage since 8am this morning, the cars are dotted around of which we have now sold 1 and had some firm offers on the others, the moped and bikes were all hidden at the back of the garage, everywhere i look i spot items, its like an Aladdin's Cave! I couldn't help thinking to myself this afternoon while sweeping up, i have been tasked with this duty, but i find it rather sad, this is a mans lifelong possessions, he quite obviously adored these items as he kept them all. I thought i would share some photos with you all, i have had joy and excitement over the last couple of days, some of these items i had never seen before.

Wow! what a wonderful collection, some real gems there. Especially loving the Low Light Moggy.
Will you be posting anything for sale/auction on RR or Ebay?

Wow! You have come to the right place to sell. It's a shame for the fella but I'm sure everything you sell will get the RR love. I'm sure he would like that.

What a fantastic collection, its going to take some time but should have no trouble finding buyers. It must break his heart to know its all got to go. Is he there to tell you the stories behind it all?

What a lovely collection. I spent a lot of last year's sorting through my deceased uncles garage to raise funds for my aunt. It's amazing what a collection like this can tell you about someone. Let me know if and where you list or if want to sell that Morris sign. My name is Morris and would love that for my garage. Cheers

Cheers I had a couple of valuations on the sign as i know they do well, it looks like an original showroom/workshop sign, made in Northampton, England by Brillite signs, there is no wiring going into it so i am unsure if it works. The valuations ranged from £750-1000!

So so sad, but just for him to know that most if not all of these items will end up in the hands of people who will cherish it as much as him should soften the blow a little. He's clearly a man made of awesome.

It's great to see this sort of stuff. Keep posting pics. Good luck with it all.

I may be doing the same with a dear friend of my Mothers, her husband was into historic racing and has a couple of cars, and garages full of bits and bobs he unfortunately has succumbed to Alzheimers and is in his own little world sadly only came to light when I heard my mother telling her not to sell contents to a scrap man, told my mother I would sort it all out, as I will be out of a job come May. The money again going to his care

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

Ok...i give up. What is this thing? some sort of mini frying pan? Its an Empire Electric Trouser Press! I admit to never seeing one like this before yesterday, i thought it would be perfect for the thread PS. If anyone has any idea i need to value all these items, i don't mind putting the time in for such a cause, but if you have sold an item like anything pictured recently i would appreciate all feedback. More pictures to come later.
