Mk2 Golf 1.8 GL. This is the 4+E manual model with central locking and a manual sunroof (no leaks). She's completely standard
MOT to end Jan 2015
Tax to end May 2014
110700 miles
She has a fully stamped up service book from new to 106k, with most of the services from VAG or VAG specialist. She would benefit from a service, or at least an oil change now, but she is a nice drive. As well as the stamped up book she comes with loads of bills including new disks, wheel bearings, CV joint and a bit of welding. She comes with lots of old MOTs backing up the low mileage and is pretty tight to drive with no overheating, clunks or bumps.
The interior is very 80s and is in near immaculate order with no real signs of wear, even to the driver's seat - and she's fitted with the original stereo. Of course she has the odd scab of rust here and there, but she's a solid old girl.
Faults: the rear hatch won't stay up under its own steam, rear NS door won't open, clutch bites high and will need replacing in the future; she's fine for everyday driving for another few thousand miles, but put her in 4th when she's meant to be in 2nd and there's a little slipping. And she needs an aerial.
All the above points are very easy fixes. This would make a great rolling restoration project with its long MOT and decent chunk of tax.
The car is in Carshalton Beeches, London Borough of Sutton - SM5 post code area. Hop in a drive away.
