Very nice photos with a good mix of cars. I like the Anglia but I'm biased as I own one. The Cortina GT500 is super rare.

Phwoar and oof and cor blimey, guv'nor. Delicious selection of stuff, in particular the metallic pink Holden, the red Isuzu on those superb blocky alloys and this, oh my goodness this. I know the shape but I can't get what it is to come to mind, I'm thinking Mitsubishi (edit: Galant? is that it?) or Mazda... whatever it is, it gave me something of a gentleman crisis. Not to mention your Escort and the little Laser which are also both absolutely superb.

Yikes!! With all Aus's stringent rules I would not have thought you would get something like this road legal......

Yep, its a Mitsubishi. A late model Sigma Turbo. It was a proper factory one too and super tidy. I can't remember if it was done by Peter Wherett. Having a look here <Sigma Turbo> it looks like he did.

Hammer, the ratty Kingswood wasn't registered, just had a plate from Summernats in Canberra on it. I'm pretty sure the people at the RMS would pop a vein if he rolled up and tried to register that And bizzle, the Isuzu was very cool. Do you know what model it is? I meant to look closer and ask the owner, but a mate called me over to look at a Mini and I never got back to it. edit: I just did a bit of "CSI-zoom-in-and-enhance" on the full size picture. Looks like its a 1977 Isuzu 117 Coupe, according to the sign in the window. I've never seen or heard of one of those before.

Hammer, the ratty Kingswood wasn't registered, just had a plate from Summernats in Canberra on it. I'm pretty sure the people at the RMS would pop a vein if he rolled up and tried to register that ... Can you explain why? Doesn´t look that illegal to me, but on the other hand I´m anything but familiar with Australian rules... Thx for sharing these nice pics from me, too. I like that low Roller as well as that rusty car. And the Isuzu, especially on its whitewall wheels. Btw: You haven´t got a pic of that grey pickup (ute) on orange wheels standing two cars away from that rusty car by chance? I guess as long as the car is structurally ok, and all lights, and things worked, and it drove ok, there shouldn't be any reason they couldn't register it. The body looked pretty solid, just a heap of surface rust/moss. I'm guessing the RMS would be like a lot of people that saw it and immediately judged it as a piece of curse word based on the way it looks. And that ute on the orange wheels was one of the ones I never got back around to seeing. I went the other way so missed that half of the whole row.

The red isuzu is a 117 and that one is a nice example! (i got to have a good look over it here in adelaide last year) The 117 was the sporty version of a florian!
