I`ve just picked this up to break, but it`s really too good to rip apart.
There`s no T&T, but has done very few miles since the last test, so it shouldn`t need much to get through really.
Negatives first; it`ll need an alternator, as this one is shot. £80 for a recon one. Wipers sometimes work, sometimes don`t, so would need looking at. It`s had a small plate welded (bodged) just below the windscreen, about 3 inches long. If you`re fussy, it might need re-doing. The drivers door electric window doesn`t work. That`s about it.
It`s a tidy looking thing, and very very few bruises from green laning. The engine is cracking. Fires straight into life with no bother at all. I`ve driven it around the farm, and drives fine. I also bought it off a guy I`ve known for a while, and he confirmed it drives very well. 4WD works as it should too. It`s got some expensive modular wheels with Kingpin Amazon tyres on, which cost nearly £600 only a year, and sub 1000 miles. It`s been lifted a touch, although I`m not sure how it`s been done, as I don`t think it`s had a kit on.
So, If anyone wants it as is the price would be £950. However, I`m happy to keep the wheels and tyres myself, and sell the truck (wheel-less, so you`ll have to bring your own) for £500.
I know these break for strong money, but I don`t know the last time I saw a mk1 on the roads, so it would be a shame really.
Pics below, let me know if anyone wants to view etc.
