nice pics!
I went up to Regent street on the Saturday to have a look at these venerable old things (presuming it's the same bunch that then do the run) was very interesting but if I owned one I'm not sure I'd have taken it there, people were leaning on them, sitting in the seats, touching them etc

There's a lovely feature on this steam cart in the current Octane mag.

Depending what time that last photo was taken I must have been stood practically right next to you!

Depending what time that last photo was taken I must have been stood practically right next to you! +1 - was an awesome sight to see the cars bouncing and spluttering their way over the bridge. Did you see the breakdown with RAC in attendance?? My photos will have to wait until I finish off the film, which at this rate will take another year....

Or alternatively the RAC were there a while!

Depending what time that last photo was taken I must have been stood practically right next to you! The 'drag race' one? I didn't stay in one spot for long and kept moving. The RAC support the run in some semi official capacity. I had a chat with one of their guys on Constitution Hill a few years ago and he was a proper old-car-guy who had been doing the L-B for years and was well prepared for the most frequent problems. Bizzle, I noticed that Octane feature and nearly bought a copy!

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Genevieve which is a 1903 Darracq was driven by Edd China and Mike Brewer of Wheeler Dealer fame as part of a programme being filmed for Discovery channel. In the Bafta award winning film Genevieve was actually a 1904 Darracq

Caught a lot of these as I was doing a run to the recycling centre on Brighton Road in Croydon. Truly wonderful and I am full of admiration for their owners who no doubt have to do/have done mostly custom work to keep their cars running. No mistaking the sound of one of the steam cars that went by!
