Another 5 in the family Just got this home, never missed a beat in just over 200 miles up the M6. It's a 1985 528iSE auto in Bronzit with beige cloth, all the toys including electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, HLWW. Needs a few small cosmetic issues sorting bodywork wise and a few bits of interior trim tidying up but it's a really nice old thing. Bought of a chap who had it last 25 years. Well chuffed with it.

"Just bought another E28."
What a sensible thing to do with a grand.
Kudos.

No, the E12 is reseda green. I should start a thread for that one. Yours looks cracking, personally I've always loved Bronzit ,remember seeing a 6 month old E32 735iSE at Brighouse auctions top car day back in about 89/90 and fell in love with the colour then.

First job, car came with the original wheels in the boot. Haven't been on for years so pretty mucky. After a bit of cleaning. Metric tyres unfortunately which are a pain as there very expensive new, I'll keep an eye on eBay for some part worn ones.

It was a rare and expensive car new, the 528i Special Equipment. At £17,000 it was a full three grand more than the standard 528i and similar money to a 732i or an XJ6 4.2. They piled on the equipment though which was very complete for the time. The 528i SE had ABS brakes, headlamp wash/wipe, automatic transmission or close ratio sports gearbox, limited slip diff, cruise control, electric sunroof and electric windows, those metric TRX wheels, metallic paint and an on board computer. You still had to pay extra for leather and air conditioning though. I remember A/C on the E28 was a bit odd, with a big vent in place of the normal centre console.
