Wondering what peoples thoughts are on this:
I know some people can't stand Brewer, and yes he can be a bit of a twonk at times, but it's pretty good value entertainment on the whole.
I thought the car turned out quite nice, the wheels I'm guessing were supposed to be a homage to slots, and perhaps could've been better, not sure on the rear lights though, Frenching, yes, but they we too big...

i was mighty impressed with eds skills. i always thought he was just a good mechanic, but that jaguar front subframe work was impressive.
the wheels aren't to my taste considering they are custom made, could have had anything!!!!
but overall, looks pretty sweet, id have it

I thought it looked pretty cool . What I was more surprised about was Mike Brewer's Dad owning Pinball Wizard! Legendary Pop, that one.
Quite enjoying this series of Wheeler Dealers. Yeah, yeah, profit doesn't include labour etc and it's flawed in parts, but it's easy watchable stuff dealing with some pretty nice cars. Certainly beats watching Eastenders, that's for sure.
I've interviewed Brewer before and he's actually a thoroughly sound guy with genuine enthusiasm.

I wish they would do more affordable run of the mill cars like when they first started the show.

It's a bit 'modding by numbers'. I love the paint, but the wheels don't suit the style, and why would you put giant LED cluster lamps in a car with a 70's paint job?
It's been modified by someone who doesn't understand the genre they were aiming for. Edd should stick to putting Mini subframes in sofas.

I'm enjoying WD more and more these days. As more people try and make car-based programs, I've realised that Ed and Mike aren't bad at all...Mike's enthusiasm and Ed's skills make for a good show.
I was amazed to see that Mike's dad owned Pinball Wizard. In fact as they threw money at the Pop through the show I felt sure that Mike was going to keep it or give it to his Dad. In some ways I wish they had, then all those personal choices would've made much more sense...certainly a better ending than someone turning up and paying a huge price for a quirky Pop when a much more up-to-date example could no doubt be bought for a whole lot less. That's just TV I suppose.
Wheeler Dealers: The best car show on TV. There, I've said it.

I was wondering when someone would start a thread on this.
I thought the finished article had the look of a Hotwheels car. There were bits I liked (paint, sound), bits I didn't (lights), and bits I wasn't sure about (wheels). However, on the whole I thought it was one of the best episodes they've ever done and really showed off what Mr China can do.
I'm glad they have gone a little bit more big budget and chosen more interesting cars needing more involved work. I can only take so much of seeing tatty performance cars getting a general tart up. This week's episode with the 'vette was excellent.
I know they don't factor in labour costs but they do offer an indication of what labour costs might be for jobs, and I don't generally charge myself (or my wife) for labour either.

Run of the mill stuff has certainly got it's place but you've got to have that 'wow' factor to try and engage the wobblers who aren't diehards like us. Besides, as pointed out, it's been done before and you've got to try and keep it fresh even if you're using the same old programme formula.

It looks good. Too garish for my taste, but it suits the style of the car pretty well.

Quite like the car a bit over modern but some nice ideas I do like the back lit plate. And the paint!

bit of a gloss over really, they took one a arm setup and swapped it for another but nowt about the steering setup which was the prob to start with.would have been better to rebuild the triumph setup and show them having a custom rack made and fitted (which they had to do on the jag front end anyway)

Ed pulls the original front end off due to it being narrowed without shortening the rack then does exactly the same thing with the jag subframe ? No doubt the rack was sorted but the "sale" I doubt it actually happened as there was no mention of it being iva tested after losing its entire front end

just watching the C2 'Vette episode now, as a series it really has got better and better, I still remember screaming at the telly when Brewer sold the RS's off the 928 that they did, but they really do seem to be playing in the big school league now...

Watched that last night, is the Pop one before or after that? if it's before, my Skybox is going out of the window lol.
