I spent some of Sunday near Princes Risborough at the Kop Hill Climb. Only my second visit but it is such a nice relaxed event, with a huge number of interesting vehicles to look at and plenty of action to watch on the hill. It is not timed (being a public road) and many of the cars seemed to be crammed full of friends and family. A pleasure to bump in to AlOlympic of this parish too.
After an hour or so watching cars going up the hill I headed towards the paddock and show area, via the start line area.
The owner of the Ecurie Ecosse collection is a local and as far as I know has brought them out every year. This will be the last public appearance of them together however, as its all up for sale and I dare say will get broken up as a collection.
Smashing little Jowett R4, one of three built
Tony Dron chatting Austin Sevens.
750 Motor Club
Now here's a quality machine! Singer variant is pretty rare.
I really, really like these. Best name too. Its a Ner-a-car
Norman Dewis was in fine spirits.
Mega weird Healey special.
Lovely Triumph Italia
Napier Railton put on a demo run.
After lunch I went back up the hill, into the wooded section. Because they run the cars in chronological order, twice a day I basicallty got to see all the same things again up to the time I had to leave.
There's a good dose of 'Clarkson face' going on here.
And that was that. A grand day out indeed.
