My mate George (Goliath) a few weeks ago told me about a road trip he was going on, and asked if I wanted to go along and co-drive, I jumped at the chance.
here's what George posted on the 205 drivers forum.
I have a T-shirt with this logo on it now too.

There is a 205 GTI drive over and around the Dolomites/alps on the 7th and 8th of september, does anyone want to come along? So far the only UK car going is mine, it would be nice to have some others come along as well. The drive starts at 9am on the Saturday so you would have to get a Friday ferry and get a hotel/camping for the Friday evening really. So far there are about 20 205's going []
For anyone who has been to the Alps you will know how heavenly the roads are around there, for anyone who hasn't been then it is a must! So much more amazing then any videos or photos can make out!
Costs won't be too bad, ferry is currently £19 each way, hotel for saturday night is 57 Euros. Fuel will be the main cost with total mileage being around 2000 miles (it will be about 2300 ish for me as I am visiting a friend in Graz on the friday), however petrol price in Austria is 1.25 Euros/litre so not too bad.
If you want to come along or want any more information just contact me or reply to this thread and I will add you to the list or source the necessary info. P.s. I'm pretty sure 309's, 405's and non GTI 205's are allowed aswell.
