could anyone tell me if this pump(GENUINE FACET RED TOP FUEL PUMP FOR 200BHP+ CARBS,Specification: Competition Pump: 480532 Voltage: 12v Earth: Neg Pressure: 6.0-8.0 Flow U.S. Gallon/Hour: 40 Dry Prime Height In Mtrs: 0.6 Thread Size Nptf: 1/4tr
Power Range: 200 bhp+
would it be suitable for a 3.9 v8 rover engine running a 390 holley carb ?

Should be all good. You will need a pressure regulator to bring the pressure down so it doesn't flood the carb though.

thanks for the replies,i had a facet pump on(did the job for 4 years) but it burnt out ,the numbers stamped on it were e11*72/245*95/54*0536*00 ,i had this recommended by chatsworth motor spares but didnt say it needed a regulator,is this a self regulating pump?sorry for all questions but not too clued up on these pumps!

You'll need a separate regulator, the link Tony has posted has the pump and reg together.
