I don't really want to sell my 924 (especially as they are clearly 'the next big thing'!) but I have set up a micro brewery and I need something I can make deliveries in. The 924 boot won't accommodate beer barrels unfortunately.
It is best described as a bit tatty but a good runner. It is an Alpine white 1980 2.0 na sunroof model, MOT til end November, currently on SORN. It is basically solid, I replaced the drivers side sill and a new passenger side sill is included as it currently patched but would look better with a new sill. It looks presentable from across the street but the paintwork is not great, the bonnet has been rattle canned in matt black (which I think looks cool). The interior has the usual torn seats and cracked dash. Water has been getting in somewhere so the carpets are in poor condition.
However, mechanically, it is pretty good! It always starts straight up and goes well. I rebuilt the back brakes and replaced most of the brake pipes last year. The only mechanical fault remaining is the fuel pump relay. A temporary sswitch has been wired to the fuel pump but I think I have a replacement relay.
As I said earlier, I am looking for a workhorse really, but would prefer something a bit retro e.g. Mercedes, Volvo, Audi, whatever. I'm not expecting immaculate (or necessarily an MOT as long as it isn't too bad).
