Reduced to £400 as I know I am going to get grief if this is still on the drive when the wife gets back from her business trip tonight.
1993 Volvo 850 SE 20v, 5 speed manual.
MOT - 21/06/2014
Tax - 31/12/2013
Just shy of 200k miles
Carshalton Beeches - SM5 post code area
Rattly old barge with loads of life left in it. It passed its MOT 8 weeks ago and also had a service on the same day as the MOT - fluids, filters and sparks replaced. It starts on the button and goes fine - although the engine isn't as sprightly as it would have been, but it's done 200k! The 10v version must be painfully slow!
Clutch is good, brakes are good and no warning lights are showing; although the washer fluid light flickers when you rev it and the oil light also flickers at really low revs/speed - oil is fine.
Everything works: front electric windows, electric mirror and front heated seats all good. The driver's leccy window sometimes needs a little helping hand to close but the motor is strong; the stereo works and the sunroof is manual. The interior is in good order and is very clean and whiff free - and very blue! There's also a tow bar and electrics (untested).
There's a hint of exhaust fumes in the cabin with the blower running (hose?) and there's the usual rattle over bumps from the back end (minor). It sits at 70/80 all day long and the temp stayed dead in the middle on my recent drive through curse word central/south London traffic in 30c temps.
It's had £650 spent on it in the last 2 months and also had a brand new battery put in recently. There are also other bills for services in the last few years, and it comes with lots of old MOTs.
With the tax (worth about £85) and long MOT this is budget motoring at its best. It also currently has just over 30 litres of petrol in it, so that's another boon; although it will be lower as I am going to use the barge to transport some garage rubbish to the tip.
