Last Sunday I popped up to the NSRA Supernats at Old Warden. Having not been to any of the old drag events this year this was the first big dose of hot rodding I'd had this year. I don't think I got to it last year either so it was good to wander around and see what was new/old.
Camo Ford was, err, interesting, especially the choice of wheels though they did actually seem to work pretty well. I suppose Centerlines do look a bit like tank wheels so maybe that's why.
This tall T was an old survivor.
This '39 has been around a while but is exactly how I'd do one.
Pro-Street Sunbeam really worked well, weith everything tucked under what is a pretty small body but keeping a good stance.
This Amazon has had a whole heap of metalwork.
Wagons with lace are for winners.
Having mentioned it in the 'Street Machine cars' thread recently it was good to have a noise around the ex Kev Rooney Capri.
This van was great. Slight flake in the paint that was difficult to capture as the sun kept coming and going.
Another van over from Europe, this one made me hungry.
The 100E that this engine was in was spotless, a ver clean build with plenty of nice one off details like these angled carb stacks.
The car I think I was most pleased to look at was this T modified that I remember popping up in someone else's photos from the Billing show. It is just so spot on, a brilliantly put together combination of lots of lovely parts.
Ex (?) Rothwell (?) Husky, also I think mentioned in the SM cars thread.
Really beautiful Chevy mild custom.
I suspect this will float Grizz's boat.
I think I've found this year's Gathering 'Hard Slam' winner if it shows up at Prescott!
Plenty more to see here:
