I went along to the Black Country Living Museum today as part of the Rickman Cars Owners Club display and had a very enjoyable day. The first cars to catch my eye were the Swallow Doretti although one owner said his wasn't a real one. There was the our little group of Rickmans tucked up behind the mine building next to the fairly busy tram track. Mine looking particularly stupid from this angle. A small display of Jensen's but what they lacked in numbers they made up with in style.

These are Stars. Yep, me neither. Who knew? In between them was a rather nice Armstrong Siddley Light 17. Two rather posh looking Clyno Royal Tourers. A very tasty little Turner. There were also a few trucks knocking about like this Guy Pantechnicon outside the bus station. There's also a little garage/museum with some interesting stuff in like this fire truck which I'm sure I had a Matchbox model of as a kid. In the service/repair area was this cute little Frisky.

Briton. No idea. In a glass case was a Sunbeam engine as used in the land speed breaking Sunbeams and also some aircraft I think. I'm not sure exactly what this little beauty was hiding in the corner but probably a 1950's special of sort sort. This Model T van was rare as it didn't have a blown hemi or a Jag rear end, most unusual. A little AJS tourer. I thought they only built bikes. Another unknown but looks like a bike engined racer. I would quite happily drive/ride a van like this for work.

Spookily quiet Trolleybus. I thought I had more but it doesn't look like it so I'll end there. It was a bostin' day out and if you're in the area I would highly recommend it for a day out.

According to my dad, Glasgow trolley buses were known as the "Whispering Death" because you couldn't hear them coming!
