I am selling my 205 as I need a cheaper car to use as a daily.
It is an S16 (2.0 16v) 205 GTI in Miami Blue that is very fast! As well as the engine, it is lowered (roughly 40mm) has a stainless powerspeed Stainless steel exhaust and other small mods.
The car is pretty clean, has some dents in the doors, as you would expect for a 21 year old car. She runs well however has a rattle Which sounds like something has vibrated loose and I will look into further. The car has just had a brand new timing belt (all bearings replaced too) with receipt to prove at a cost of nearly £300. The car has MOT until end of Jan next year and is due for tax at the end of the month - will tax at buyers cost.
The car has had lots of new bits while I have had it, mainly to neaten it up a little. Can give details if required. There is a large file of history on this car too. Recently had new water pump and new Brake shoes - also has new walbro 255 fuel pump and new NGK iridium spark plugs.
The only running issue is that the car bogs down sometimes at 3.5-4k revvs, always been like this but never bothered me that much. also the rev counter doesn't work nor does the oil temp or pressure guages, however all other dials and guages do. Not a big fix, just bolt new sensors on and they should work, but its never bothered me. The recipts I have are fairly extensive however I do not have anything about who did the conversion. The car has been looked after well and has Peugeot Ecosse receipts too. There is however a whole file of receipts..
Please feel free to ask any questions and I shall update this as I think of other bits.
This is a great car and I really do not want to sell however I need the money and a cheaper car to run. Viewings are welcome upon arrangment as there may be other little things that I could have missed. I will update the advert as and when I think of these things.

Questions;
Q: hi, not easy making offers on a car I've not seen or driven or heard running!!, can you tell me if it runs good, no oil/water burning?, many dents/dings or rust?, and whats the paint/lacquer still like? many thanks
A: The car runs well but does have a slight intermittent misfire (causes the bog down on revs as per description) however there is a fair amount on how to fix this on the 205 gti forums, never really bothered me enough to need to fix it as it is intermittent. Does not use oil or water at all, I have serviced the engine myself and can confirm that its had all that is listed in the description (including new oil filter and rear brake shoes, new handbrake cable too). I have not found any serious rust on the car, a patch behind the headlight (under the bonnet) but it will pass MOT with no issues like it is (no holes - just surface by the looks of it). Car has had a re-spray at some point, so the paintwork for the majority is spot on, there is a slight lacquer patch on the roof just near the tailgate hinge, slightly down the side of the passenger side runner on the roof and a little around the aerial, but nothing serious. it has a few car park dings and things over its time, drivers door has a dent (can see in one of the photos of the side of the car) this is not very visible in most lights. there is a small dent just in front of the wheel on the passenger side (like it when I got it) its slightly smaller than the width of my little finger and about 2cm long, not rusted or anything. there is the odd little ding around the car but these are tiny (one on the passenger door and you can see there was a repaired crease on the drivers wing (only in the right light at the right angle). I will try add a video to the advert if that helps?
I want to be as honest as I can as wouldn't want to view a car myself without the facts. The car is fairly priced as per its condition, better than most other 205's I have seen locally. I would of course recommend viewing if you can anyway. however all questions are welcome.
Thanks,
Dan
