Trying my luck, you never know whats laying about in peoples sheds, I'm looking for a reversing gearbox for a bike engined car, or a reversing system for a bike engined car?  anything else, What have you? Ian |

At a kit car show I saw one manufacturer that had a normal small pre engaged starter working on a small flywheel / ring gear (Fiat 126 ?) attached to the prop shaft flange at the engine / gearbox . I assume you have a relay so it will only work when neutral indicator light switch is energised. This give you an idea -   I've also read that people use cordless drills to turn the prop for reversing ! Paul h |

Thanks for that, the flywheel/bendix works for reversing BUT its not very controllable, the car Lurches backwards, I laughed at the drill idea at first when I first saw it, but it does make sense as its so controllable, another one I have thought about is a small starter motor with small dia a skate board type wheel attached and having it fixed and pivoted so you and push it against the rear tire,
