I cut open My sill earlier to properly asses my corrosion problem, saw this and the thought curse word it I'm going to play with gearboxes and diffs instead went through my head, so I now smell of gear oil and going for a bath.

the actual panel that needs grafting in would be a simple flat sheet cut to the appropriate shape, but how the hell do I get it in there?! the part that's actually rotted away is the middle of three layers at the sill, and is the inner skin of the rear quarter panel, it rusted away right by the jacking point as there's a blocked drain right next to it due to the inability of tyre and garage muppets to jack cars up properly.

It did look like this, which I guess I could have bodged a plate over the top and fixed the sideskits back on...
Any TonyBMW's around the south wales or the west area?
