It's a mk1 v4 transit that was uprated,(many moons ago.) with a 2ltr v4 instead of the 1.7. it's actually in quite good knick for one of these, there will be proper pics when we clear it out properly. and this was that piece of metal that had been consumed by the tree and now is totally supported by it. (p.s. anyone interested in the transit, please don't pm yet as we have to find out the true condition, spares etc etc before thinking about selling it. )

That's some surface rust. Best Guess it's about 71/72 on the crossover of facelift.

We had a collection of 1300s as a kid but never had a gt. We did have a vanden plas that if memory served has the same engine with twin SUs. probably worth curse word all as a car unfortunately seen as its probably made of rust now but would be a great source of parts.
