New project is here. Moved on from the French stuff fairly quickly so got hold of a nice little swift gti. obligatory petrol station shot on the way home from collecting it Swift Gti First Drive by keeholden, on Flickr It's a good little motor, been used mainly as a trackday/fun car for a good few years and will continue to be abused in the same manner. Hopefully even get a race this year My son likes it Swift Gti & Alex by keeholden, on Flickr tucked up in my garage Swift Gti by keeholden, on Flickr trackday evidence Swift Gti Tow by keeholden, on Flickr powerplant G13B by keeholden, on Flickr G13B Cam Pulleys by keeholden, on Flickr Swift Gti Engine Bay by keeholden, on Flickr Roll cage fitted but not properly, first job is to sort this out. Swift Gti cockpit by keeholden, on Flickr 1300 powerplant pushes out 100bhp standard, this has a little more and goes very well Swift Gti by keeholden, on Flickr Swift Gti by keeholden, on Flickr Other little jobs include fitting my kevlar bucket seat and sorting the windows out so they don't drop down when I try to open them. I'll also be gathering all the interior bits bar the carpet and be re-fitting it along with my own harnesses. in between all that I'll be enjoying myself and trying to find some cheap Eclat alloys

very nice and the engibe is a good spec u had a good deal, found the listing on ebay ;-)
what your plans now for performance you goin to keep as it is or play with it n/a or go turbo? my friend makes ecu chips for them and you will get 185bhp with 10-12psi a td04 and a few other little bits but as a bolt on kit with stock internals or go crazy get a rebore some vitara pistons forged rods and pump 20+psi and get 250bhp or there abouts
the choices are endless with this great little engine :-)

My first two cars we're swift GTI's, I love them! Always on the hunt for a good but cheap one, I never paid more then 600 for either of mine but I guess to get one now they are well into the 1000's
Good luck with the project, i've got some spares and custom parts still left over if your interested

prab, pm'd Nitro, guessing your talking about the Chinese jobbies, they don't look too bad quality,i'll keep them in mind Took the cage out tonight as it won't pass scrutineering, if anybody is interested then it's for sale for £150. It's a modified safety devices cage.

try to avoid srd if u can, i brought a couple simple bits off the as they were cheaper than anywhere else and it took over an hour on the phone, didnt seem to know what they were doing! English wasn't their 1st language so that didn't help.
keiran, iv got a spare turbo manifold from Australia that i'd sell + intercooler & turbo chip. Also iv got a lower compression engine i had rebuild before i brought another turbo engine, that i may sell seperate if i cant sell it in the car. pm me on fb mate if ur interested.

Still here and done a little bit of enjoying it and a little bit of work. This thing pulls so well up hill and sticks to the road and damn sight better than my old fiesta did, can't wait to get it on the track. Just need to get a cage and get it fitted, buy my non-race license and i'm good to go old brake pads, 1 of these from each caliper, no wonder they were awful before Untitled by keeholden, on Flickr had a dig around in the bay, thought i'd have a look in the MAF sensor Untitled by keeholden, on Flickr dirty curse word, now much better. Untitled by keeholden, on Flickr give the air filter a quick clean with an air line at work too but it needs a full clean really also found this hole covered by tape Untitled by keeholden, on Flickr quick turning job Untitled by keeholden, on Flickr sorted Untitled by keeholden, on Flickr now to sort the rear brakes and carry on enjoying it
