You take the rubber boot off the clutch arm wriggle the arm and the wire clip holding the thrust bearing to the arm drops off ......boohooo

You finally decide to put "just a little bit more force" on the glowplug, and it comes out... with a chunk of cylinder head.
(or more recently, you have your exciting, new and expensive car, decide to do a quick oil change, and the oil extractor tube appears to jam in the dipstick pipe...)

the bolt/ screw is suddenly really easy to turn after it's torn the thread off of whatever it's going into for no reason whatsoever.

When changing the speedo cable on my Maxi the drive gear came out of it's location - and dropped into the depths of the gearbox. Took half a day with stiff wire and mirror to get it out - alternative was stripping down gearbox.
Due to illness I have limited strength so friends changed the gearbox on my Audi 100 Avant auto. They told me to climb underneath and check their work. On making sure bolts tightened the spanner slipped and I thumped myself in the face. Broke my own nose and two black eyes !

Because you have a really important appointment the next morning you turn the car around in the garage so you can make an easy exit. Get up so you can move out at 7 sharp as you know it takes exactly 45 minutes to get to your appointment @8. Only to discover that the moment you turn the key at 7:10 not a single light comes on as there is zero volts left in the battery....and because you turned the car around, you boxed in the only other running vehicle with your boot facing its bonnet....so no jumpstarting. As you see the amps rising on the battery charger, you notice the minutes you are late rising while you wonder why batteries in Chevys and Mercs have the poles at reversed ends....(yea, not the best start to my day this morning)

Spending all weekend fitting new brightwork on the front of my old Ventora grille, bumpers, over riders, resprayed valance, resprayed n/s/f wing, undersealed under wings feeling pukka went to take it for a ride out, forgot my wheels were on full lock, shot off the drive.... straight into the garden wall  |
