All of a sudden my Clarke 151te welder has started popping fuses. This welder has had light use, only being used perhaps 5 times a year. I was able to weld on the highest setting in the past but now it pops the fuse with barely any work.
To give an example last night I was using 3 - max - wire speed 8/9 and it popped instantly when it struck the steel. I know max settings can blow fuses but with this welder apparently it takes sustained work. I've welded up diffs with it on full blast but now there definitely seems to be a problem.
I'm going to try and take the torch apart and service it, as well as removing the wire and blowing through the line. I was wondering if I might also need to change any service parts on it?
