Hello everyone. It has been a while since i have been on this website but i felt i should share my discovery. Recently a friend and i went into his barn and found 7 Rover 200 BRMs. These cars all have under 30k on the clock but some of them have signs of rust. He told me that previously an uncle had sold his business and he used these cars as company cars. Apparently they were about £16000 new and were used for the employees to commute around his business destinations.
The cars have not moved for about 6 years apparently but the interiors etc are mint. He tells me that some of them may be put up for sale - failing that they are going into a small collection of classics he has.
Just thought i would share this with yous guys as we are all into retrorides.

They're great cars, they're not worth a great deal needing work though, no matter how low the mileage.

Blimey, what a find...!!! It is a shame that they are not 'tip-top' but it is still something of a unique collection... It'd be great to see some pictures of this stash if you'd be so kind... As an aside, it's a shame Rover didn't do a range of 'BRM' models as their flagship sports designation... I think it would have been more exciting than some of the MG ones we got, a bit more flamboyant perhaps

Great find, unusual too! My good friend on here has one and loves it. They aren't worth a huge amount at the moment, but I expect their value to increase over the next few years.
Rust, and poor maintainance seems to be the main killer. Also, make sure the interior is in good condition, as a second hand lot will cost £400 +

Great little cars with a 'Thunderbirdesque' (as in 5,4,3,2,1 not Ford) quilted interior!

I took one for a test drive a few years ago. Blimey, it was a proper little tool. Think I bought an MG ZR instead, but I had my reasons They're definitely gaining a bit of status, and there weren't many to start with! And the interiors...... Yes please! Oh, and they're the budget blaster bit in PPC last month I think

Wow. Seeing that many together & owned by the one person certainly would be impressive. Very nice idea.

Ooooh, to to get some pics of them - would make an epic desktop picture! Never been too fond of the "orange braces" thing going on with the grille though

It was an epic sight. I don't really like Rovers but i know the BRM is a special car. They all had orange snouts too which was nice to see. The odd one had some rust but it was minimal. I have no idea of his intension with these cars but the family seem to hold onto everything they own. He had mentioned maybe selling a few of them - nothing in stone but i will be pointing him in the direction of this forum.
I never thought for a moment this thread would generate much interest since it was old rovers lol.
Anyhow, i shall try to get him to take some photos for yous to have a look at. Unfortunately i will not be disclosing the location of the barn - don't want him bombarded with people wanting to buy/see the cars.

Can remember one of these driving around the town I live in a good 5-6 years ago and always wondered why the hell it had an orange mouth. And now I know why haha.

They seem to go for 500 - 1000, usually in the middle for an OTR BRM. I've been after one for a few years, but never felt the need for it. As you can see from this BRM it is closely related to:

I have spoken to the owner of the cars and he tells me he will join up onto the forum. I don't think he will sell any of them as they have been together since new and he has the space to keep all 7.
He also told me he will get some pictures of the cars to share with the forum but will not disclose his destination.

Always liked the BRM, but don't think they ever came in LHD?
Anyone know the colour code for the orange nose that BRM used?
