Alfa people!! PLEASE SAVE THIS CAR! Don't let it become a:
Model: Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV6 2.5
Year: 1983
Mileage: 99000
Tax/MOT: None
Location: East Sussex
Price: Offers - see description
First and foremost chaps my apologies this advert is not very comprehensive. This Alfa was left at a friends workshop and it's now being disposed of. I've got a week to prove the internet is not full of time wasters and this car has potential, whether it's a donor or a project. If I fail by Sunday it will be filled with junk and crushed. For gods sake people don't let this happen!
What I know about this GTV: DVLA says it was last taxed in 1991. Six years ago it drove into the workshop to have its floorpan undersealed. It then sat outside awaiting collection for 4 years. Eventually the owner booked it in for clutch replacement around the corner. This never happened and its' sat in the hedge ever since.
Needless to say the old girl is now very scruffy and covered in mould. The door has been open so the interior is rather manky too. Dash and seats look OK. I believe the underside is fairly sound but I wasn't going to get covered in mud to find out. The lower wings are very frilly and there's big holes in the engine bay. It's not a weekend job.
It's a 2.5 V6 engine with 98,800 miles showing. This ran a few years ago but no idea what it needs now - not even tried. The clutch is worn out. There is a key but no history or V5. I might be able to get it but otherwise it's £25 to apply for one. The owner has given permission for its disposal. I believe he just wanted the plate and lost interest when the bill started climbing.
The plate EKR1Y is included.
I know 3 transport companies who can assist with delivery. It varies depending where you are but guestimate 90p a mile (there and back) from Hailsham, East Sussex.
I hate ads without prices. £350? PM me what you feel it's worth. You're welcome to call me on 07933 641790 but if you've got Q's, write them and I'll go and investigate.
I've got until Sunday (April 14th) to find her a home. With a deposit this can be extended to April 21st.
