hello i have a Opel manta and it would be incredibly helpful if some one could take some quick measurements on a stock ride height 1986 hatch. I'm looking for the distance between the arch to wheel center to determine how much mine has been lowered  so i know its a long shot but if anyone has a stock ride hieght coupe if you could take a front and rear measurement that would be fantastic . thank you ! |

Hello mate, I cant give you measurements of a stock ride height but here's a pic of my manta lowered 30mm for comparison, hope this helps.  |

What model of manta you are talking about?
Your pic of the white hatchback could be a GT/e or a 1.8 and they both came out the factory with different ride heights. The GT/e being a little lower than the 1.8
I'd say thats about right for a GT/e by the looks.
Originaly mantas came with several different heights from the factory. The earlier Manta B (chrome bumpers) was the highest, then 1.8, then Gt/e, with the GT/e Exclusive being the lowest from new.
However there are very few at their original heights anymore and not just because they've had lowering springs fitted. The front springs sag over time (especially with the heavy GT/e engines fitted)
Also a word of warning, there are a lot of people on e-bay and in shops selling aftermarket springs for the mantas, many of them list their springs for all models/bodystyles/engines across the range rather than several different springs.
So when you buy springs that should be for a GT/e you'll possibly get ones with the ride height of an early SR (which is about 3 or 4" higher!)
A couple of people on the OMOC forum have suffered this recently
