it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Mine drives an '03-plated Fiesta 1400 Zetec, tends to buy pre-reg or ex-demo motors, run them until they are 3 or 4 yrs old, then bosh 'em in for another one. She's had this one since it was 6 months old but it's still only done 28k so she's toying with the idea of keeping it for another 12 months.
It's actually not a bad car, Duratec engine's nowhere near as good as the old Zetec, needs the guts wringing out of it all the time on A-roads. Brilliant over 4000rpm though, and the handling's superb now she's ditched the stock Bridgstones and had Yoko A-539's put on (which are next to useless in the snow......)

98 Toyota Starlet.... one reliable car in the family.... she seems much more sensible then i am, in all things.... but the Toyota is a brilliant car, no repairs necessary so far... except of the cam belt and the front discs everything else is still untouched. Oh yes, the battery, after eight years we replaced the original one....
