Howdy again, as I said in an earlier thread, I've bought some wheels which have turned out to be Rial Cobra wheels. Rial wheels seem to be very popular in Germany but not here....at all. Yes, they're fake split rims, I know but I think they're quite nice. Especially when they're tidied and a different colour. The problem I have is they only came with one centre cap and plate. The plates don't bother me as I'll use the one I have got as a template to make more. I cannot find any screw-on centre caps ANYWHERE. I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this aggro. I want to use the wheels with the plates if I can so is there a solution? Maybe caps which "knock on" and hold the plate on? I know that there's a lot of clever, resourceful people on here! Any ideas?

Ebay germany - search rial , then wheels and tyres , then wheel and tyre accesories , there is one at least fairely near the top of the answers , plus there is another 5 pages which I can't be arsed to search through . If theres only one it could still be used to make copys from . Just realised less than hour left and its on for 1 euro !

Was looking on there all last night and there's nothing. There are sets of wheels which come with the centres, but no centres by themselves. It's a big, plastic 76mm hex screw-on type with a 60mm badge recess on it. I've pretty much given up seeing as there's none on German Ebay so looking for an alternative.

I've been doing a similar search for a set of wheels I've bought / placed a deposit on.
I've found a company in the US that seems to sell lots of wheel centres but for quite high prices.
If you have the measurements of the circle you should be able to get something fabricated that has spring clips on to pop centre into place or maybe a disc with wheel nut covers on the inside so it has 4 hex covers that plug over the nuts and hold the disc over the hole.
Difficult to describe but that's what I'm going to aim for.

I was thinking of slightly larger than 80mm which will knock-on, push on or clip on to the centre hole to hold the plate in place. The centre plate is metal but I'll use it as a template to make 4 plastic plates which can be painted the same colour as the wheel and held on by whatever centre cap I manage to get. I'm running standard steels on the GTI with hub caps which clip onto the wheelnuts. Would be difficult to clip on the wheelnuts of my new wheels as it's a deep recess behind the plate.
