Right, I have a mk3 Capri, with quad headlights (2 dip and 2 main), and i want to remove 2 of them, to end up with just 1 each side with a dual beam bulb (such as an H4).
The problem i have though, is that the bulbs my lights require are H1's, which are far smaller. Are there any dual beam bulbs that will fit, or is there another option?

Aren't they just 5 3/4 round jobbies?
If so you can buy them to take H4s.

Got 4 in my Capri with H4 bulbs. Any aftermarket 5 3/4 light should fit in the outer position, the inner bowl needs about 5mm trimmed off one of the locating slots to take an aftermarket light. Then theres a small amount of wiring to get all the beams on one plug

cool. standard 5.75 H4 lights it is. the wiring will be no problem, i just thought the lights had model-specific mounts around the rim.
thanks guys.

Stag lights, 2000 and Dolomite lights should see you going in the right direction (as long as you acquire the H4 derivatives).
