can't see how, if the inlet cam is spinning, the valves wouldn't open unless it's bent them all, but then you'd have crappy compression.
definately sounds like a fuel problem, sure the injectors are OK? You say you've got fuel getting to them but are the injectors firing? Sometimes, or So I Read On A Forum Once, they can fail once fitted if they're weak due to the compression, the pressure stops them squirting. Doubt all 6 would fail at the same time though.....
Has it got an immobiliser? Anything else common to each injector that might make them all stop working?

i know that its virtualy impossible for valves not to open if cam is spinnin but wasnt sure if it had hydraulic tappets an with it bein stood it hadnt got the oil pressure to pump them up,couldnt say if injectors r ok but have fuel and have a pulse,whats baffling me is there is not a murmer when tryin to fire it on easy start down inlet manifold ive never had a vehicle not fire on easy start with a spark an compression ???even if only for a second  |

I had exactly the same fault on my range rover and it turned out to be the ignition switch was tempramental.plug an old spark plug on the end of number 1 lead and crank the engine over and see if theres a spark if there is'nt until you just release the key its the switch. All i did to fix it was run a wire from the battery to the coil via a switch on the dash,the ultimate imobiliser ;D.that dam fault cost me nearly 500 quid  |

Are you sure the HT leads are on correct? The dizzy on the Jag XK engines go anti-clockwise, which can throw people.
