Hi Guys May be opening up a can of worms but here goes ;D I`m thinking of keeping my eyes open for a new car to fix up as a daily before my Saxo diesel dies, It needs to be small, cheap to run, easy to maintain, cheap to buy,and buy parts for,and not ultra rare, and look great with lows and rims I`ve had Cinquecento Sportings,Suzuki Swift Gti,Polo Coupe,Saxo,Hijet, So don`t want another of these, What shall i look for?? (must be CHEAP ) Cheers Adrian

Citroen ZX Volcane. We're approaching the tipping point where there aren't any left and/or people cotton on to what great value they are. I used to have a 2.0i, it was bags of fun. (If you want 'cheap to run', they also did a diesel Volcane...)

Rover Metro / 100 1.1i or 1.4i (8v or 16v) all will do between 40 and 45mpg. Plenty of bits, easy to lower, easy to modify.

Hi Mark I have lots of love for the K11 and they are still around cheaply, What are they like to live with?? (and what model is best to look for?) Cheers Adrian Rusty sill's just in front of the rear wheels and front cross members are the main weak points. Other than that they are a Nissan. The Super-S is the sought after model in pre-facelift (small headlights) with the SR replacing it after the facelift. I think the pre-face cars are much beter looking. There's 1.0 and 1.3 engines with not much difference in economy between them - the 1.3's having to work less hard and having a higher final drive that the early 1.0's. Head over to the MSC www.micra.org.uk for all the tech you could want. £150 Corsa B coilovers will have one sitting on the deck, and they are 4x100 so there's a wealth of cool small wheels available for a price, and of course 4x4" with some creativity

I vote for Toyota Starlet (96-00), 1.3 K11 Micra (1.0 have weak gearboxes, mine blew up @ 68k) or Subaru Justy as it's AWD. Starlet with SR kit (plus unknown body kit) Micra 1.3 Super S Justy AWD (Basically a swift with 4wd)

How 'bout one of these: On leboncoin you can find some from about £500. A nice engine swap would be a good idea, too!
