So, ive just signed up to this so I can perv on some nice old cars, and thought id share my MK2 Golf with you all
Here goes...
Its a 1987 atlas grey, originaly an 8v k-jet which was then turned into a 2.0 digifant with ported head (JMR guide is very good!) and 272 cam, then I tried to carry out a 2.0 crossflow conversion which never really worked, and now its a 1.8 16v.
Had the car since October 2011 and its my 6th Mk2 but this one I do intend to keep.
Here's the pictures which speek a thousand words.
How I bought the car:
And so it began

Got one of my spare cylinder heads out of the cupboard yesturday. Been itching to do some thing with the car, and this didnt involve being outside in the cold so made alot of sense.
Stripped the head down. Two bent inlet valves, tenner each from GSF so not the end of the world
And then cleaned the valves up with my drill and emery cloth. Easy as cake.
That's it for now. Cant really do much else. Thinking about this:

And maybe this

But I did just get my ally header tank back so maybe i'll just use that. Who knows.
