has anyone made there own bead breaker? i know it could be easier to take it to tyre shop but thats not allways convenient. i want a nice simple idea!!!! cheers chris.

Fit a bracket to your garage wall or something else solid about a foot off the ground. Have a long metal bar on this bracket using a hinge or a bolt so you can remove it. This bar acts as a lever. Lie the wheel down flat under the bar and press the end downwards to break the bead. Works better if you fit a shaped bit of metal to the bar to press down on the bead. Its hard to explain in text but painfully simple on practice.

i did find a pic of using a bit of wood and running a vehicle up it until bead releases, not to keen on that though!!!
