Does anyone know a company that would be able to copy some small castings that hold my 2 piece wheels together?
The only alloy casting companies I can find are large volume....

Do they have to be cast? If they hold your wheels together, I'd be worried about the strength of back-yard castings. How difficult would it be to mill something out of billet aluminium to do the same job?

This ^^
Most likely the OE parts would be die-cast, which is vastly stronger than sand cast parts, but also immensely more expensive.
Get it made up in CAD, and get some quotes to get them machined up. Would be far cheaper, and stronger

Can't you contact the original manufacture of the wheels and see if they can sell you the part you want as a spare ?

What they said ^^
We do many one off castings in Aluminium, brass, bronze etc and any low volume is nearly always done with sand casting. Whilst this can be good quality, it is no where near good enough for wheels and associated hardware. As Chairchild says, they would originally have been pressure diecast which gives a far superior grain structure and, therefore, mechanical strength.
Machine from solid would be your best option imho

Thanks everyone.
The manufacturers are Japanese and aren't interested even if they speak English.
Yeah I would worry about the integrity of sand cast although the originals look fairly rough.
The part is relatively complex so cad could be a problem. Can cnc machines copy in 3d?

Can cnc machines copy in 3d? They can copy pretty much anything with the right maching, with the exception of internal voids. Have you got a picture of the part? It'd be interesting to see how it's loaded and what sort of shape it is.
