My Honda civic 1342 12 valve will be up for sale shortly as we need a bigger car,it has a long mot (7months) and is taxed until end of march, its in very good condition and drives really nice,I have owned it for 6 months and have enjoyed driving it from Scotland to Cornwall with the only problem being reluctance to tick over, this will be rectified before the sale. What do you guys value it at? I was thinking around £650 ish? Forgot to say,its better than our Imp on fuel and goes really well for a 1300! ;D There is a spot of rust (surface) on lower sill and a few scabs on leading edge of roof (just me being picky )

To be fair that's not comparing apples with apples is it? If its as good as it looks in the pics I'd be negotiating an agreed valuation of between £1500-£2k

What's the condition like on the rear or the sills and arches like? It looks pretty good in the pictures? Also lifting the carpet in the corner of the footwell reveals rust in even the nicest examples.

I think the £650 you mention seems very fair from the details you have given us! If its is rust free though then possibly higher (depending on MOT / engine /gears) Or a bit less if its an auto.

Is this a Manual or Automatic?
Cheers.

Manual, no rust, full service history, low owners and nice clean original condition I would say £800-900
(I'm not contradicting my above post, I'd still have an agreed value of around £1500 on the insurance!)

Hi, I was the one who sold that Civic for £130.00, The outside of mine was in opposite condition to yours as the one you have is a real gem The last four mot's on mine were a fail due to excessive corrosion on sills...one mot tester comments on fail sheet was..."This Vehicle is falling apart" lol The wheel trims on your Civic....I'm pretty sure are from a Honda Accord...which makes your Honda look even nicer Your valuation of £650.00 would make your Civic a bargain as its in outstanding condition
