Got a dribble from gearbox as shown in picture can I split bellhousing and box to get to the seal or does it stay together?? Many thankschris  |

Look like torque converter seal. No need to split box. Carefully get a screwdriver behind the seal flange and gently pry it out. Installing is easy using the correct socket as a drift. Check the converter area where the seal runs on for smoothness. Also check that the trans vent on top of the box is clear as trans fluid expands when heated and may build up pressure. I think the converter seal will do the trick. Make sure the converter is seated correctly into the oil pump before refitting. It can be trickey.
