Firstly - apologies for nasty modern things, but sometimes you just have to work on one.
I've had a Corsa C come along with the EML on - checked the codes on Opcom and there was a P0340 (camshaft sensor) and an O2 code. The guy said the car was running fine, just that the light came on.
I cleared the codes - EML went off - and stayed off.
But on checking again I notice that the P0340 code keeps coming back without the EML coming on.
The engine is running fine and the EML is staying off - but it keeps registering the P0340. I'm a bit reluctant to suggest a new cam sensor as I'm not convinced there is anything wrong with it.
Checked the engine data using Opcom and everything looks spot on. The car's done 70k, well serviced, everything in the engine bay seems to indicate no-one has been messing about with things - it's all as per factory spec.
Just wanted to ask for ideas/suggestions anyone might have as to the possible cause.
