Whilst idly browsing for ideas to paint the chassis on my Blazer, I came across this site www.zinga-uk.com/ which is a cold galvanising 'paint' and makes some pretty bold claims. The theory is sound (much like sacrificial anode 'zinc blocks' on ships I guess), but does anyone have any real-world experiences with this stuff? I've had a quick google and surface prep is absolutely paramount, but I've no idea what its real world longevity and rustproofing are like. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all too

Zinga is fantastic stuff. I painted the engine bay of my mk2 golf in it after welding different bits and pieces. It stood outside for years before I did anything with it and the zinga looked exactly the same as the day I first aerosoled it Would highly recommend

I'm not familiar with Zinga, but cold galv in general works and has been around for years. I normally see it used on galvanised steel which has been welded. After grinding back the area and welding it, you simply paint some cold galv on and it generally lasts for decades.

Sounds like it's a goer then, just need to get my Blazer dismantled ready for it now.... Guess I'd better finish stripping the van, rebuild my GSXR, wire up and finish roofing/guttering/glazing my garage and get on with it!
