...or just painted? cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2192&item=2491019380"Right then, it's time for the outside...how can I enhance the classic coke-bottle styling of my HB?" NOT with a straight line half way down the body you pleb!!! Of course in 'restoring' circles we all paint the engine bay white and then paint the hinges and heater in red...good job that man. It looks like a great car...but what's with the paint?

To me the problem is that it is restored, but not very well painted. I mean if that was done right it would have been a nice car.

To me the problem is that it is restored, but not very well painted. I mean if that was done right it would have been a nice car. Here's a quote from the listing: "It was rescued from behind an old barn, as it was in such good condition, especially underneath. It was a very rare to find an HB Viva of this age with very little rust! Hence it simply had to be restored and kept!" So was it 'restored'? Or was it just painted? Here's my old one which, instead of being 'restored' was 'polished' and 'lowered' and fitted with 'Rostyles'. Completely unoriginal...tut tut.

Shocking! And those aren't even the original brand of indicator bulbs! Shock! Horror! ;D ;D ;D ;D Fair point though, it's more of a general tidy up really, although why he chose to tidy it up like that is beyond me. It's not original, but it's not any kind of improvement either. If you're going to paint an old car in a different way at least do it in a way that suits it! What a w*nker!
