1966 Chevy El Camino for sale. No MOT or Tax, is registered in UK correctly as a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino, and is tax exempt.
Picture is pretty old, will get some new ones at the weekend.
Only difference from picture shown is that the front bumper is missing (don't ask!) and the bonnet (hood!?) is now matt black, had problems with surace rust coming through, so took it back to bare metal and primed with zinc primer, just put the matt black on to cover the bright yellow primer!
Interior is pretty ratty, has original bench, which is pretty shot to be honest. Could throw in a couple of as new black leather Mondeo seats if you are quick (they will be going in an advert in parts). Speedo doesn't work, wiper switch doesn't work, but a new wiper switch is included.
Also have new rubber seal for doors.
Engine is a 350 small block, unknown heritage (truck was originally a 283 manual), but has a edelbrock intake and a 4 barrel carter carb (same as new edelbrock carbs). Its not ran for ages, but I don't expect there to be too much wrong with it. Ran sweet when in use. Gearbox is now a TH350 auto.
Car has manual drums all round, surprisingly good once you get used to it. Obviously takes a good prod to get it to stop it, the main problem is when you go the other way and get back in something with a servo, and start throwing your passengers through the windscreen! lol
Still has the five spokes on it, and they are original straight spoke torque thrusts (hence the drums, these wheels will not fit over most disk brakes)
There is little bits of surface rust showing through, but really only needs a rub down and paint. There is no real rust to speak of.
Its been stood for a while now, due to various family crisis's, and just want it gone now.
Ive already got something that needs to take its place oon the drive, so I really don't want any PX's, sorry.
