Now sold
1995 Audi 80 2.0E Avant
I love driving this car and it makes me smile every time I walk towards it, and I have wanted to buy it the last couple of times it has come up for sale (but the timings weren’t right), but my role at work has changed and instead of doing 300 miles a month I am now doing this a week So sadly I must put my Audi up for sale. I have spent £450 on it in the last month MOT’ing it and fitting a new battery last week, it really was my intention to keep it, but sadly it has to go.
MOT Oct 13.
Tax 12/12
Recent Oil/filters, plugs, leads, CAT, front and rear pads and battery
136k (will go up, in daily use)
KW variant 2 front coilovers (£900 new) and FK lowered rear shocks with chopped springs. Rides firm and ideally wants shorter rear shocks. The front could go down at least another inch if you wanted, but the rear would need different springs/shocks.
17x7.5 Audi RS4 replica alloys (repainted panther black with rattle cans but look presentable) with good tyres (fronts have some scrub marks from previous car, these don’t scrub at all)
Front arches rolled and rears rolled and flared (was running 16x9’s)
Twin electrics towbar
Electric tilt ad slide sunroof, electric front windows, electric mirrors, PAS, CL and ABS
its averaging 33 MPG (which isn’t bad for a 2.0 petrol in a car this size) and it does go and handle well
Headlining sagging at the rear
Exhaust knocks slightly
Key only works on drivers door and ignition (have matching pass door lock but not fitted) due to keys being stolen. Haven’t found it an issue as it has CL
Airbag light on (just needs reset from when the dash was out for the locks to be changed)
Petrol gauge is temperamental, I think there is a lose earth behind the cluster
Rust scab on drivers front arch (from when the arch was rolled) and on the bonnet edge, scratch on the roof and a strange key’d bit on the bootlid
Paint needs a good compound, but polished up nice
Has a couple of small dents/scratches
rear wiper/ washer jet doesn't work
Price wise, I’m after £1000.
Will also sell it on the stock suspension and alloys for £700 or Stock suspension and steels (needs a tyre really though) for £600
I would consider a swap or a PX for something cheaper to run (petrol must do mid 40’s on a motorway or over 50MPG for a TD/TDi), be a manual, not have starship miles and with a decent amount of MOT. There is 1 exception though to the MPG and manual’ness, I would love a Toyota Townace TD 2WD.
