Both look like great projects. I guess the plates on the beige one are the original pressed ones? If not, who made them up? Mk3's are suddenly looking very cool indeed.

The master cylinder was on the off-side? Wow, I never knew they came like that. Do you by chance have a photo of it?
Being into mk3 Escorts you might find my website of some mild amusement, it details some of the not so in depth work I have carried out on my mk3 Cab along with any general mk3 info I have picked up along the way. Click on the link in my sig and feel free to pass on any corrections. ;D

Cheers I'm trying to keep it factory looking, pretty much like your 2.0ltr Zetec install. I'm using a Focus inlet manifold and induction pipe, the end of which is joined to an original K-Jet rubber elbow that passes behind the brake servo. I'm currently scouring the local breakers for a Rover 25 as a potential candidate as an airbox donor. I really must get the escort section up to date. I have just revamped the sites entrance page to try to stimulate progress on the site. I'm very much liking your plans for the blue car. I had thought about turbo-charging the Zetec in mine but decided against it in a cabrio. It's a bit too much time and effort to concentrate on an unsuitable candidate and the thing would never get finished! How hard/easy was the 6 speed gearbox to fit?

Good stuff
I havnt done anything to the blue one for 2 years lol
Got the engine and box loosely in place For the 6 speed need custom driveshafts , make gear linkage fit , hydraulic clutch will be fitting pedal box
In other words lotsof work
Factory look is the way forward
