Ok,I'll play Year, Model, Make 1969, MKII Triumph Vitesse Length of time owned Somewhere between 5 and 6 years. Maybe even 7??? 1 random snapshot of your project or part of it. If you insist: 3 random specs or interesting facts It was actually completely standard when I first bought it I've destroyed 3 gearboxes on the original engine It probably spends more time in bits/being tinkered with than actually being driven (and I DO drive it a lot!) Estimated completion date Never!! it's a continual evolution . Build thread on Readers Rides retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=62127

Year, Model, Make1978 Vauxhall Chevette 1.3 Length of time owned5 months 1x Random snapshot of your project or part of it.3x random spec's/interesting fact'sIt should be the first Bosozoku style Chevette ever. Unless someone with equal bad taste beats me to it. The car needs lots of work, it's solid but has had a lot of "interesting" repair work. Apart from a vision, I haven't got a clue what I'm doing! Estimated completion dateLate 2014 - going to allow a 2 year window to get it done. Car - 1985 Toyota MR2 Owned - 2 or 3 years now Random snap - 3 interesting facts: Its my 4th MK1 MR2, and will be the last car ever to leave my possession. Miss em too much when i do sell them! Its rust free (almost, one bubble on the sunroof lip) which for an AW11 is mind boggling! Will one day be a considerable wedge faster than it is right now, but that's all I'm saying! Completion date - Lottery dependant Readers rides thread: YUP! retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=98610&page=1

Year, Model, Make: 1969 Triumph Spitfire MK3 Length of time owned: 7 years 1x Random snapshot of your project or part of it:3x random spec's/interesting facts:- Bought as a shed with the intention of getting it back on the road in six months time. Took three years until it first fired up.
- Made the round trip of 1500 miles to 2009's Goodwood Revival right after its shakedown session without any mishaps
- Joined a blood-brotherhood with my long-gone Mercedes 190D. I've used Mercedes pea-soup green touch-up paint to protect freshly drilled holes in the bodywork.
Estimated completion date: that journey is hopefully far from over! Completed a gearbox-rebuild, then the engine broke. Then completed the engine-rebuild, now the gearbox is broken again. That's why I love it though. Build thread on Readers Rides:retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=readersrides&thread=52322

Year, Model, Make: 1991 Mercedes 300 SE Length of time owned: 4 years 1x Random snapshot of your project or part of it:3x random spec's/interesting facts:- Bought to replace a frugal Mercedes 190 D to "protect the environment": old Diesels were about to be outlawed in Germany.
- Just completed a 3.500 Km road trip (thread-update in the works).
- Made me like Roxy Music and Spandau Ballet.
Estimated completion date: I hope to crack 1.000.000 Kms with that one. So somewhen around the year 2080 when I'm 98 years old. Build thread on Readers Rides:retrorides.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=readersrides&action=display&thread=99573

I'll stick my latest, and hopefully next 'finished' one up too: Year, Model, Make1988 VW Scirocco Scala (Carbed model, not 'Scala i'.) Length of time owned4 Years 1x Random snapshot of your project or part of it.3x random spec's/interesting fact'sIt's about to recieve it's 4th engine in my ownership, it's already had 2 1.8 petrols and currently has a (seized) 1.6td in it, it'll hopefully be getting 1.8 20vt in the next few weeks. It was my daily for 2 years, for sale for 1 year (I wasn't trying very hard to sell it ), the daily again for a couple of months and then it broke and has been sat for another year. For the last 3 years it's been sat on wheels that I bought as a 'temporary' set that were meant to only be on it until I got around to getting some more I liked, having removed some Porsche Teledials that I should never have sold. Estimated completion dateIt'll hopefully be back on the road and on new wheels within the next month, but I don't think I'll ever consider it 'complete'. Build thread on Readers RidesYep, can be found here.
