Right got this yesterday and love it already! Its a 1989 Ford Sierra 1.8L cvh Those are the pictures from the add. It has Azura alloys, 1992 spec clocks with rev counter, 1992 spec steering wheel and a arm rest fitted. It also has electric window s and a ashley exhaust, it sounds great! Think I got abit of a bargain really and do feel abit bad haggling down from the £400 it was up for sale for but I'm a tight git Although its only a 1.8 I'm suprised how quick it is to be honest, but then again I used to a 0.9 Panda haha. Heres a couple more pics I'm not the usual "ahhhh tramp drift the sierra" kinda person but the plans are, lowering and eventually new wheels, will be removing the door trims (depending on wheter there are holes holding them on, there isnt any trim on the drivers door), tcutting it enjoying it! Thanks for looking!

That's clean, Looks like Maritime blue, Door moldings are just stuck on so it will be a case of pulling them off and getting the sticky glue off although i quite like the molding being left on.
Get some clear front repeaters to replace the amber ones and maybe some later Mondeo ST/Ghia style alloys look good too.

The Panda is up for sale if your interested in buying it back! haha. I think its actually in pretty good nick! couple of little bits that could do with tidying but overal I'm impressed. Yeah i do quite like the door trims but its missing on the drivers side and one of them is slightly falling off so i might remove them all and if i can find a full set fit them at a later date

I'm not the usual "ahhhh tramp drift the sierra" kinda person Good! It seems to be almost compulsory to turn Sierras into a complete dog's dinner in a matter of months for a lot of people, look after it and enjoy it! I road rallied a 1.8 CVH Sierra years ago, even on 3 cylinders I was catching Novas, 205 GTIs and XR3is on the timed sections. Great fun!

Anything i do i want to be reversable, i don't want to go ruining it or anything! haha. I don't suppose anyone could photoshop the side on picture so its sitting lower and more level and remove the side door trims? Also tempted to tint the headlights yellow as i have a roll of tinting film in the shed i havent used, but not sure if it would just look tacky? I think it would look okay with the amber indicators, Anyone care to photoshop it for me? I would do it my self but I'm not home at the moment and my mums laptop hasnt got Gimp on it haha

Not 100% on the lights, would probably grow on me in the metal so to speak though. Love the de-trimmed though. Works really well with your colour combo.

I recognise that car ;D Glad you're enjoying it mate. As for the trims. There's no holes in the doors, but I believe there is in the front wings, which is why I never took them off after 1 fell off. I agree with you though, it'd look better without. Personally, I don't think Tcut will get the result, try a mop instead. Also glad you're not going to drift it ;D although you'd struggle with a whole 90bhp!!! Enjoy it mate, she's a good old boat, and one of the last Sierras to roll of the UK line, they all went to Belgium after that

Haha funny that you recognise it I'm really enjoying it at the moment! Yeah i had a little poke around and there are holes in the wings, but ill take them off anyway and I'm sure i will sort something. Ill wait till the trims are off before i mop it, i forgot i had a buffer in the garage, ill have to put it to good use! And haha yeah it would be a struggle to drift it, although i must admit i have already been looking at possible engine conversions that bolt straight onto my gearbox..... but thats something that may happen later down the line!

Right after some advise, been driving and enjoying the car for a week now, but i bought a headunit wiring adapater day before yesterday and finally got my head unit in. It comes on and turns off with the ignition but seems to be draining the battery some reason, i don't understand why, the battery was fine before the headunit was fitted.
And got a problem with the passenger side window, you can go up and down about 4-5inches but any lower and it gets stuck inside the door, does it seem likely its come out of the runner or something? Only seems to get stuck at the front by the mirror (its been converted to electric windows).

Not yellow lamps against that color, IMO. (Of course, go for it if you like it)

I removed the door trims and there are little square holes under them! apart from the drivers door! So once i have removed all the glue i shall be finding a way of rectifying this problem, i may just fit some smaller trims! And i have a question, how do you remove the rear springs?! I removed the shock and the arm wouldnt lower down far enough to actually remove the spring, do you have to remove the driveshaft or something as its what seems to be in the way. I know i will probably get slated for it but i am going to be cutting some coils! I may have to do it with the spring in place, its not really under tension with the arm dropped so should be fine, so people cut the coil from the top or the bottom? Looking at the design i think bottom would be best but i cant really imagine it falling out or anything haha

I like your sierra....it reminds me of mine two years ago (only blue with mot) personally I prefer the amber indicators, however my spares car has clear ones should you want some. Its really good to see someone else respecting the old cvh Sierra, so many people have ripped into me keeping the cvh regular oils changes and flushing the system when servicing they will never give up. if I could upload pictures I would, but I haven't a clue how to (I'm a bit special when it comes to computers) but.... when you have the car in the air, disconnect the brake pipe on the arm at the joint (if not it will snap, attempt to get spring compressers on, disconnect the base of the shock and using a lovely huge pry bar, prise the arm down and the spring runs away (normally on to the floor) If you are cutting springs; the fronts are pigtailled where they seat on the shock, so cut from the top, i do own a brand new set of 40mm lowered rear springs....a set on the bay is about £80-£90 for poverty spec ones, £240 will get your springs and shocks....again poverty but god i wish i had brought some.....its a case of 'lets bounce' rather than drive with lower/cut springs on standard shocks. please forgive me for rambling....
