Ok I'm really unsure of where to get this 12 Volt supply from as i have a ballast (wire i think)
I have a chevette if that helps ??

A bit more detail would be helpful. I am just fitting Accuspark to a Viva with a ballasted coil. Depending which unit you have will determine what information you need. eg - which 12v supply are you after?
The one I've got just replaces the points, leaving the original ballast coil in place.

Think i need the igniton wire before the fuse box. the red wire needs to connect to a 12v supply but I'm assuming this has got to be igniton switchable ? bit confused
when i connected it up to the coil red and black it only just run.

Not 100% up on chevettes but I allways just replace the ballest wire with a normal wire or if it's a ballest block I bypass it ? Yes it will have to be ign switched or you'll burn the coil out having it energised all the time  |

Needs to be ignition switched other wise how are you turning the engine off?
In my Skoda I ran the accuspark thing ballasted, and it ran fine.

I ran one on my Capri years ago. It struggled to get it running right so I just took a switched 12v feed from the ignition switch with a properly soldered connection.

if taking a feed from the fusebox, make sure the feed remains live during cranking. some don't.
