Hello,,,,I havent posted in a while,,, here's the new project,,, alongside the daily,,, came on some 17" wheels but upgraded to some clio williams ones in white,,, The car is without MOT/tax so 1st thing is to get her legal, She has been stripped out by a previous owner,,, so i'll be looking to put back a standard interior. She benefits from a throaty sounding stainless steel exhaust,,, Also low milage although no history with her so I can't verify that,,, seems genuine though. I tell you what though having driven one of these in cabby format for 4 years a stripped out hatchback makes that feel like a tank to drive! I'm considering leaving it bare... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here's the interior as it came, bare! I want to get the interior back in and lose the bucket seat/ harness. I'll be putting in an uprated sound system too. The car came without the ecu but i've been given one by a fellow 1916v enthusiast, yes there's more than one. It will go for an MOT on Saturday for which it needs a new clutch pedal (£58 from renault new, luckily ebay =£15) the ratchet had gone. Horrible job i'd put of a few weeks a bit like going to the dentist. Renault charge £60 for the new assembly but they don't give you a pedal rubber for that! I had to replace the steering rack gaiters too. Lets hope it gets the MOT 1st time...

I love these ph1 19 16V. Went to Germany to buy a black cabriolet but it was already sold when arrived there so had to get a 306 instead. That 3-doors is looking great, any pics from inside?
Nice wheels. Is it just me or is it sitting a little high and the wheels a little bit inside? On the other hand, if it's handling great, wouldn't play with the settings too much. I think these look good with original 16V wheels or turbines as well.

I like it but a lot of people adjust the torsion bar to drop the back to level the car. The cabriolet is on turbines, the ones that were also on the clio 1.8 16v. Its a shame the red one didn't come with the speedline original wheels but the white clio wheels look great on the red car

You beat me to it on this car JR, but with me already buying a mk1 twingo and eventually a mk2 golf in the new year its probably a good thing! I reckon you should put this back to standard, and grab a phase 2 for tracking

cheers si2001 what needs doing on your clio williams then? The Clio needs a little work on the rear sills, alternator replacing (it's been bodged with a later item so doesn't give the battery light feedback), fan switch sorting (it doesn't kick in when getting hot) and also the low oil pressure warning (again no warning light on start up). I basically need to strip the front back and find out why it's not been put back properly. I just need somewhere dry to work on it........

Right-Click, Save As... Can't remember the last time I saw a 19 on the road, let alone a 16v or pre-facelift or in red

That look fantastic man, good work! I think the R19 was the best looking it's generation, such a shame it had that hideous facelift, another victim of the early 90s vogue for 'adding character' to the original designs, I can't think of any of them being an improvement.
Ace car!
