Cheers for the kind words chaps! where did you find that!!!? Thats amazing! I found it for sale locally, literally 5 minutes from my doorstep! Wow! That is amazing. What's it's story? The story is that the car was bought originally from Norman Kingston Cars in Halesworth in 1977 so it's a local car. I still have the order form and sales receipt! It had one owner until late 2011 when he sadly developed a heart problem and could no longer drive the BMW. At this point a friend of his son's took it on and gave it a good going over and I bought it from him! It has covered less than 1000 miles a year from new and was always kept garaged.

Even the tyres are period: Complete with the little nobbles too! I'm not sure how safe it is to run them though. Tool kit all present and correct! Oddly the BBS spare wheel is in bare alloy. end. It needs two new rear lamp lenses as they are cracked but I'm on to that already. The car is a rarer series one and as such has a few special features such as sliding heater controls: Note the original cassette player has survived too and works a treat. The other easy way to identify one of these early pre '78 cars is by the small chrome door mirrors: Most E21s have the later and much less pretty large black plastic mirrors:

Thought about buying this myself but just don't have room. Nice to see such an original example. Probably another good reason for me not buying it as would have had to make some changes.

I know I shouldn't but I can't help thinking a set of Bilsteins, Eibach springs, and twin carbs would make it even better but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to do it! I don't suppose you might be able to tell me where I might find a drivers side rear light lens in good condition as mine is cracked? Dealer stickers: Dealer plates:

May have lenses. I'll check.
I guess it depends if you plan to keep it or not? If it was mine I'd have it how I wanted it.
If its running the standard Solex a Weber conversion would work wonders and isn't going to spoil the standard look.

That is a stunning example. I love modded old cars but that is so mint and original I don't think I'd be able to bring myself to do anything other than keep it OE.
