I've just bought a rather nice 1988 Nissan Sunny Saloon. It's in outstanding condition throughout but, could do with a tap from the stick and some nice low-offset rims. The latter are already in hand, but has anyone on here had any experience in lowering these cars? Not that I've got anything against it, but I'd prefer to source some bespoke lowered springs, rather than chop the originals. So far my Google search hasn't turned up much: help? Thank you.

plenty of lowering springs are on ebay, from £80 a set.

golf coilovers will fir if you pop the nissan topmounts on and slightly file the bottom mount holes, but be wary of dropping them too far as there may well be driveline issues and I presume ade (aces7809^^) has just pm'd you this too...

Almost on the road: b11 sunny breadvan, e36 tds, 325i skidcar,
nearly there: ford f250 tathauler, suzuki alto, u11 bluey
not for a while: ford pop, 32 rails,
not in this lifetime: ruby, '29 hillman

N14 coilovers are a straight bolt on fit if you wanna spend decent money.
only mod needed is to cut off the anti roll bar bracket on the rear legs as they would foul the N13.
this info is what i've read on the ZX forum and have not done this myself.
will the golf coilovers fit the rear as well? how do they compare lengthwise with the sunny ones?

I very infrequently want to spend any money, so spending decent money is usually a no-go for me! ;D - there are issues with the golf / polo coilover an nissan brake pipe mount - nothing that couldn't be sorted with some ingenuity (or a cable tie ) golf rear coilovers are HUGE - I've not tried to fit them myself (my b11 wagon is on leaf springs, and my prairie is on torsion bars) - but I know 'rich' on here got part way / did fit golf rear coilovers to his old cedric nissan rear springs are pretty long though, so you'd be ok with a couple of coils off

Sorry to hijack... but would these also fit the B12? I have an '87 Estate if that helps any.

wow - a b12 wagon!! - and welcome to the forum!
from my experiences (m10 praire, u11 / t72 bluebird, b11 sunny) all the fwd nissans have broadly similar front strut arrangements, so yes, I reckon they will - if you want to check, maybe go down to your local breakers and see if they'll let you borrow a mk2 gold or 6n polo front strut to try??
I know joncedric has a b12 wagon, and there's a green one local to me - but apart from that never seen another!
and we need pics of your car!!
